So guys, this is what I'm working on.

I don't have much done, but working on it. I got the engine bay sprayed in yellow, but most of it will be black anyways. I got the rims painted silver, the engine block and cover in silver, and the body is ready for paint, but gotta wait till next weekend.

I need to get some more flat black paint so I'm pretty much stuck till then, but oh well.

The color I'm replicaing is called "Yellow Jacket"

I plan to have this done JUST before june(when the deadline is) because I'm working on a 08 mustang for a other site and that has to be finished at the same time,

BTW the yellow on the spolier and engine bay is the same color, just looks different in the different light

Thanks for lookin.

I'll be watchin. The GTO is my FAVORITE car. Are you going bone stock with it? IMO it needs different wheels, the kit rims aren't scaled to size and look a little off to me. Looks good either way, but that's only because I LOVE GTO's.

Yea, I agree with ya the kit rims are too small, but I'm trying to make it as close to stock as I can, and I like the style of the rim. I've seen other's built up in some different ways with other rims, but I like stock new muscle cars.

I'm watching! I'm glad you reminded me of something. My buddy has a special ordered one of these and man it's scary fast. I keep forgetting to tell him that there is a model kit of these. Keep up the progress. Also let me know of any fit issues. Thanks

It looks alot better in person then it does on camera, when it's finished I will get some outside pics. Allso got the black painted on the engine covers, now I just gotta tape it up again and painnt the intake black.

ok guys, got an update:

Just desided to mock it up with new wheels.

It is now cleared, and I choose to use wheels from the amt 300c and I'm gonna paint the spokes charcol or black, don't know yet.

I might do black rally stripes, or a black super stripe, don't know yet.

Also finished the valve covers and intake piece, and hand painted GTO on it.

My hood has on it two faint black marks on it, not very notcibe but there.

I find yellow is the hardest to paint, I like painting black even better then this, and I hate painting black!

Here's some mock up pics:

So guys let me know about the stripes and the wheel color, because I'm undesided.

I gotta wait a bit before I polish it out and tape

it up and paint the window trim.

Thanks for looking.

Desided to just leave it as is, but am probly going to do the rims in black, but not sure yet.

It's almost done, just gotta finish the side window trim, and the engine bay in black, then I can polish and and put it together. The interior, and chassis is now done.

Yes, I do have the shifter, just forgot abbout it.

I have one; nice kit. I'm doing mine in gray with the black interior and a spoiler delete. Simple, classy, elegant.

And ready to spank any sake' burner that tries to take me on...
