Deckerz Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 I am currently working on a 67 gtx and i want to raise the rear suspension slightly to give it an aggresive stance, i don't want to cut it up really, i could use risers from a 69 superbee kit...finding them is hard though. So how can i do it?
Chuck Most Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Making your own risers would be easy- just cut some strips of plastic the thickness you want to raise the car and size them to fit into the spring pockets, then glue the springs onto them. Extend the shocks, or find some longer ones, and you should be in bidness.
Deckerz Posted May 10, 2010 Author Posted May 10, 2010 Thanks mall cop (just read your name), i was going to make them out of styrene tubing but i need to get them all the same size :/
crazyjim Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 You could cut the rearend off the leaf springs and re-attach on the other side. Does that make sense? Instead of the rearend being on top of the leaf springs, put on the bottom of the springs. That what I did to Green & Mean in the "under Glass" section.

That would work too.
MikeMc Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 another thought...lower the front....will give you the rake...looks more normal...smaller wheel/tire or move the spindles up a bit
