jbwelda Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 second one appears to be a cunningham, out of the uk. i believe there are several sources for resin bodies though they may not be made anymore. that first one...i believe ive seen it before but cannot recall where, petersen museum in LA maybe?
MrObsessive Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Second one is definitely an early '50's Cunningham with a Chrysler Hemi. I have no clue what the first one is................rebodied Bugatti??? :?

Nick F40 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Well, it's apparently a Rolls Royce..... :? Swoopy! 8)
B.Beachum Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Fair on TV,..EarSplittenLoudenBoomer,..some weird name like that, The second is a Cobra that is a redesign and That Motor is a 427 Ford Cammer with M/T Hemi heads and valve covers, Mickey Thompson use to machine his heads in the late 60s and 70s to fit the FE series Ford Motor (332,352, 360,361,390,391,406,427,428) I have 1 i can send you pics, and ford also made the heads, but the 427s with these heads were called Cammers, because SOHC and a 6' timing chain
B.Beachum Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Distributor is at back on motor,...HMMMMM,better look around for more info on that ,.....but I have seen the 1st car ,.....does that count?
Modelmartin Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Do I get a prize? The first car is indeed a Rolls-Royce Phantom bodied by Jonkheere in the Netherlands. It was called the Round -door Rolls and considered to be a freak for many years as were all of the Figoni-Falaschi Talbots and Delahayes in the Streamlined organic style. Of course fashions change and they are all multi-million dollar masterpieces featured at Barret-Jackson now! I always loved them from the time when I saw them in classic car books when I was a kid.
Guest zebm1 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Andy is correct and yall are gonna love this...it's a 1925 Rolls Royce Phantom 1 Jonckherre Areodynamic Coupe. But tha 2nd car is a trick entry....it's called a 1952 Cunningham C4r Continuation. After Mr. Cunningham quit racing and building tha cars, a small group of guys got together and put some more Cunninghams together. Kinda like tha first kit cars. Oh and BTW...tha Cunningham is an All-American design. Tha original 1950 LeMans racers were powered by Cadillacs. I can see that I'm gonna have ta get more devious....hmmmmm got one.
jbwelda Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 >tha Cunningham is an All-American design thats what i meant: new england. thats my story and im sticking to it!
