Built this several months back. Third build after a 47 year comma ! Stayed inside the Revell box on this one. Finally have figured out the posting thing, I think. Here it is.

Terry, that is one sharp box-stock build! A little blackwash on the grille and I think it could be on the box top. B)

Thanks alot but I am confused on a photo etched grill. Is it like chrome and black mixed together ? Workin on a 37 ford pu...maybe will try it on that > thanks again.

It is an after market item, made out of thin metal.

Has a realistic look to it,they also make photo etch kits where it will have grilles, emblems and other accessories

for a specific make/model year of vehicle.

Here's a few places where these are available...

Thanks guys.... I have checked out all the suggested sites on detailing and they all seem the same. I will try those, sooner or later. Maybe some blackwash like Kenny suggested, just to see the difference. But I WILL venture into the other stuff. Thanks again for all the comments and suggestions. Just wish I had more time to get into this other build. Need some rainy days !!!! Thanks again to all !!!!!

Nice build . Clean and complete rather than a rat rod . A photoetched grille is a piece of thin metal with the open spaces in the real thing opened up in scale . Acid was used to make controlled spaces in the metal . Thanx ..
