'67 Ford Ranchero GT

Started as the '90's issue of the '66 Fairlane GT/GTA, I used some El Camino Parts, mostly just the inner bed parts. In these pictures it is very dusty, Why, you may ask, because I built this for the man who owned the real deal, that was around Febuary, of course i did not have a working camera at that time so no, pictures were taken, these were taken at there house, next time Ted comes over he's gonna bring it so I can get some decent pictures, till then these'll have to do, only reference I had was a old polaroid and all Ted could remember, Ted's had a few cool cars; '76 Firebird Formula 400, '68 Belvedere 440, and a few more. The base I built, it is primed and painted the same black, also cleared using the same clear.

The A-pillars should not show paint. They have a stainless cover over them just like the Fairlane. The B-pillars could have been worked a little more as the Ranchero does not have sail panels like the Elcamino as you can see in the picture. The rear window is not really recessed that much.

Johnny as I do appreciate the advice, the A pillar thing I didn't know, after I figure this BMF stuff out better I'm gonna haul it home and Red Do the trim anyway, as for the B pillars and rear window, all I can say is to my knoledge and I did ask around not just here, I'm one of the only if not the only to do the '67 Fairlane Ranchero.

This conversion looks good to me. It appears ya took your time to get this one right and I must commend that. I myself would not have know of the minor descrepency had it not been mentioned. My thought there is that is just Knowledge you have for the next one.

Great job and I can't wait to see another.

Nick, this is one of your best efforts so far. Very cool....

If you can try and learn to polish a little paint, use and trim BMF, and apply a little less glue to some of the parts, you'll be on your way to really improving your builds....There's definitely some good progress here. Two thumbs up!!

Very nice!! Having owned one myself you did a good job from eyeball engineering.

Now for the killer part! There was one available in resin quite some time ago but I can't remember who

made it. But is was nice. A friend has one that needs a tailgate.
