highway Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 This is Revell's 09 Dodge Challenger I've been working on for a while, but is sidelined right now for a couple other projects. I painted it with Testors Cumstom Lacquer System Hemi Orange and clearcoat. The engine and underhood area is also sprayed with the CLS Hemi Orange, but with no clearcoat. By the way, the white around the front of the hood was my goof up, the clear was not completely dry when the hood was shut and it stuck! The hood fits so tightly on this anyway, I have to sand the edges and touch them up.
RodneyBad Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 paint looks Great(except around the hood ) Good looking chassis too.
highway Posted May 30, 2010 Author Posted May 30, 2010 Thanks, Rodney, and the hood will be touched up!

Thanks Garred, The hood on this kit fits very tightly as it is. The paint just made it even tighter!

I haven't been working on this much, too many other projects on the bench, but I might just have to get back to work on it now!
highway Posted September 20, 2011 Author Posted September 20, 2011 Well, it's been quite a while since this build has seen any action, but thanks to wanting to get something built for the Three Rivers Automodelers show on Sunday, I dug it out of mothballs. It didn't get finished though, there was just not enough time left, but at least some progress was made. I have the interior nearly finished, and even added some BMF to the door to replicate the light/reflector at the bottom of the door. The dash nearly complete, I just have the radio/nav control decals and steering wheel decals to add before it's complete. The chassis is nearly finished too, with just a few more small parts to add.
martinfan5 Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Looking good there highway, thats the one thing I didnt like about this kit is the tight fitting hood. If it makes you feel any better I always find a way to mess up my paint jobs
Dr. Cranky Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Looking real good. I love the color. Good details too. Nice, nice, nice . . .
