mcandela Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Had this in a box for the last 4 or 5 years. Decided to finish these half done models between other full projects. Hope You guys like it.
RodneyBad Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Great looking GTO Paint and interior looks Great. Wheels and Disk brakes look good too. Nice work.
MrObsessive Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 That's a nice lookin' Judge! Are those decals for the seats? That nicely replicates the "Houndstooth" look that was popular back then. Sigh...............I can still remember when these were a dime a dozen as cheap used cars. Saw a few of them in my high school parking lot circa 1978. Now you can't touch a pristine one that would cost you and arm and a leg!
george 53 Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 REALLY like the interior of this on! Like Bill asks, Where did you get those neat decals? Nice paint job too, but where are the side stripes? Came out nice an clean, a VERY nice build!
mcandela Posted May 30, 2010 Author Posted May 30, 2010 Thanks for the comments. Yes, the interior is a decal from scale motorsport. Last time I saw them was on ebay, but they have a website: http://store.scalemotorsport.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=SM&Category_Code=DECALS
MrObsessive Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Oh Okay! I've used those..............they look fantastic against the red background!
MyBradKeselowski Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Decals on the seats look great!!! Those wheels are awesome
Greg Cullinan Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Nice model,She looks bad in black And you sure know how to put om a smooth paint job. The discs and wheels look great too.
KENNEDYJR Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 I like it-the red and black go great together. The seat pattern is a nice touch as well.
mcandela Posted May 31, 2010 Author Posted May 31, 2010 Thanks guys for the comments. Paint is Duplicolor Black straight out of the can, (no clear), with Chevy engine orange for interiors, yep, they look red 'cause the camaras settings throw them off a bit.
simonr Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Real nice job on this one, Mike..The first two pictures in some sense, recalls me for the '60's batmobile.. Ok lo sé...la fiebre esta todavÃa encendÃa...jajajaja...quedo muy bien, sigue por ahi! Simón P. Rivera Torres
CEKPETHO BCE Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Love the color and the interior. I was just rebuilding mine and couldn't decide on a color... guess we have the winner. Black with red interior it is.
lrlocke01 Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 What kind of DupliColor do you guys use to get such great finishes? Out of the can and no clear!? I have to get some of this stuff.

Was duplicolor lacquer or enamel black? I have a bottle of enamel that I will be using, I'm just wondering if lacquer is any better
