mountaindewd Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Having all of the Impala talk lately had me on guard and I ran across this. It is an old show car from the early seventies called "Executive". I thought it looked interesting with the body mods. Apparently, it was recently rediscovered and the remains are now for sale.
crazyjim Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Sorry. Never heard of it or saw it - but I wish I did. Nice looking custom.
Eshaver Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Hummmmm, interesting ride . Meanwhile , i'm at a loss as to the history . Ed Shaver
Greg Cullinan Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Looks cool, I hope one of our members builds it
Joe Handley Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Yup, definately a neat car, kinda reminds me of a heavily modded Low Rider.
The Modeling Hermit Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I always thought it was a shame to see those old customs discarded. I hope that somebody does restore it. I remember years ago that there was an effort to find old Barris customs and restore them.
mountaindewd Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 Mark, Good eye! It was built by Joe Bailon. Here is the link I found. http://www.aeclassic.com/joe_bailon_65_impala_ss/
Joe Handley Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Being one of Joe Bailon's cars would explain why that chromed tube work on the front end seemed so familiar Hope it get's put back to it's previous glory too!
