new truck project

this is a new project it is only my second truck model so bear with me lol

after body putty,paint,4 coats of clear and extending the frame 3" here it is so far

this is just to show the reflection in the paint

thanks everyone! i havent made up my mind about what to do yet.it may have a flatbed on it for cars or i may make a tow truck with sheet metal bed.decisions decisions

It's looking great so far. That would be impressive with a box drom body and a moving van trailer. I might even have to try that myself.

ok here are a few pics the first is posed as a rat rod truck just kidding.

i put some color on the tires(letters)

and set the engine in place for mock up

ive still got to touch up the paint on the engine but it looks good

then there is the floor

and for now the sides(not sure if these will stay this shape)

haha i have no idea what im building im just going on pure trial and error.i dont even have any reference pics.this is my first time scratch building anything im going to find some pics to use as reference.

ok this is a photo i found and will be using it at kind of a template but i wont be using a round boom.

been hard at it again today and started final assembly on the truck.still have to finish the bed.i forgot to take pics of the interior before putting it together so i did the best i could with the camera.

i made a spot to hang the chains i found at hobby lobby

Your paint colour is like the old JUMBO fleet from the '70's here in Canada,you can find some pics on HANKS

thanks man that is a big help.im very happy with this but i havent been around "custom" model builds and was curious what everyone thought thats all.
