My '67 Corvair Monza, built many moons ago from the Prestige Series '69 Hardtop kit. I think the R&R (or was it F&F? I always get the two mixed up) top boot was for a Falcon. The wire hubcaps from a JoHan '68 Chrysler 300.

That's a real beauty Jon! :o I've always liked Corvairs, and I had an Uncle that I think owned just about every model Corvair at one time or another.

One thing I distinctly remember about Corvairs is that unique starter sound when they were firing up. I could tell one from a couple blocks away as a kid! :o

That's a looker! Interesting rear deck brace. And, never knew the spare was in the engine compartment.

Nice job, Jon!

I had a goofy uncle that built a 1:1 mutant Corvair from two, using the front clip from one in place of the rear clip on the other...couldn't tell if the thing was coming or going! B)

Sweet! very nice work. Great job on the top removal as well. Have one very similar in the works.

Very cool build, paint is clean and the color looks wonderful.

Those wheels are super nice and the detailing really compliments the build.

One question though, are you sure this isn't a Camaro with the engine in the trunk??

As a die-hard Corvair guy, I know what's right and what's wrong with Corvairs. You just about nailed this baby, Jon! "VAIRY realistic"! The only trouble I noticed is that the PA license plate isn't a number that would have been issued in the regular run. They only had one letter, not two. (I live in PA and collect license plates!)
