Are my settings wrong ?

I'm not getting any response to my post. Even though there are many reply's to my post, shouldn't I be getting an e-mail reply or notification?

I just went in and looked at my settings, and it appears the only posts you can be notified of via e-mail are the posts in personal messages. I don't see any ways to activate an e-mail notification for responses to a thread on the public forum. I think the only way you can get an e-mail if your forum post is if you click 'watch this topic' and ask for e-mail notification there.

No, there is settings for email notifications on threads you reply to. Either go to your profile, click where it says "Edit My Profile" or go where your name is at the top of the screen and select "My Settings", then to the tab that says "Forums". You will see a tab (that should aready be highlighted) that says "View/Posting/Email Prefs", then an area with check mark boxes that also says "View/Posting/Email Prefs". You should then see a check box with this written next to it:

Watch every topic I reply to

If enabled, choose default notification type:

If the box is not checked, check it, then go to the drop down box and pick how you want to be notified, you should have these options:

No Email Notification

Immediate Email Notification

Delayed Email Notification

Daily Email Digest

Weekly Email Digest

I have mine set on immediate, and whenever there is a reply to my watched threads, I receive the email. Also, if you want to just watch the thread without replying, you can click the "Watch this Topic" button in the thread, and it will take you to a screen where you can set the email notifications you receive for that thread. I hope this helps.

Personally I found my email inbox so inundated with notices of replies that I killed the entire subscription deal for all forums and keep up with the boards in the "view new content" format. I don't need nor want an email notice for every single reply to a thread that I've made a reply to. I do get emails to notify when I get PM's.
