jeffb Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 special treatment? i just bought a new weedwacker, hauled 4 bags of charcoal into the garage for the smoked turkey that ive been chasing all over town to get supplies..then i'll spend 8 hrs tomorrow tending a hot smoker in 95 degree weather..your right! that is my idea of a great weekend!
Greg Cullinan Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Jeff, that turkey sounds like it's worth all the work On the radio this morning they posed the question, would you rather a gift or to have the day off to yourself,no chores,no rides,no fixing)? I think I go for the day to meself!
Kaleb Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 special treatment? i just bought a new weedwacker, hauled 4 bags of charcoal into the garage for the smoked turkey that ive been chasing all over town to get supplies..then i'll spend 8 hrs tomorrow tending a hot smoker in 95 degree weather..your right! that is my idea of a great weekend! diymirage Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Well, my daughter, son-in-law, grandson, step-grandaughter and her husband, and step-great grandson are taking me to the zoo and then out for dinner....and then to the hobby shop. WOO-HOO!! Joe that is assuming they dont leave you at the zoo sounds like a fun day
camaroman Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 when I get that ol "your not my Dad" routine I ask "WHO'S YOUR DADDY?" then we laugh... (after I get off the floor)!
modelhut Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 I love the humor here It seems like some had a great time. Since both of my kids and grandkids live away from me, it was just me and the wife, a quick Italian dinner out at Macaroni Grill, and then home.
charlie8575 Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Gee, my dad disappeared for the day. Ended up spending most of it with my mother in Boston while she's staying with my grandmother. A good parent is hard to be; I've worked with too many examples of what happens with bad parents. Too all of you who've taken the challenge, I salute you. Charlie Larkin
