I don't have any pics, but I think both AMT and Lindberg did a 72.

You're quite welcome. I've never had either kit, honestly I never have really cared for that Stang, but I know the AMT based on the older 70s molds, and if you have ever had older AMT or MPC kits, would have the same detail (or lack of) as most of the other older kits. The Lindberg version, I think, is also an older mold, so detail may not be very high on it, either. Like I said, I never had either kit, so I'm not 100% sure, but either should at least be a good start!

Dylan, A M T did both a 71 and a 72 as their ole fast Back and supposed G T or Boss kits . Either one is a kibash of old M P C tooling and both will require extensive research as to the inaacuraces of either kit . Someplace , I have the 72 , but I'm not sure where . I used to do a lot of repairs on the 1-1 cars years ago . I'm too dang tall to get into one of them and be comfortable . I'll stick with my 53 Ford Truck . Ed Shaver

There were kits of the years you mentioned, by both Amt & MPC, but they are annuals which fetch a decent buck on feebay, certainly the '71 & 72.

MPC in the '80s did offer a '71 again (later re-released by Amt too) but it's a '73 with some minor mods.

Don't forget about the Otaki 1/12 Mustang kit, too:

Casey, I wish you had included some information on that kit . I'm not aware of it . sure would have been great as to how the innards look ........ Ed Shaver
