I've been building this for about 4 weeks.... It all started with a pic sent tome from a friend:

I received this in an e-mail....

I used the wheels from the Revell re-issue of the '70 T/A. I painted the sides, and centerline of the spokes gold. The front wheel....

You have to bring this to life....if they make this car in 1:1,it will sell huge..

Your concept pic is what a new muscle car should look like .

I like what your doing!!

I know it wasn't me.... But if you think it was me, you're going to have a tough time proving it! And by the way.... This ISN'T a modern custom, it's a phantom!

A phantom eh, then will it be purple ala The Phantom's body suit? Just teasing  and no I wasn't refering to yu Marshall.

Thanks Harry! I'm glad to see you here. I've been getting more and more fed up with the politics where I was hanging out at. I wasn't sure how many I could post, so I did 3, then re-posted, then 3, so on and so forth. I've been here for quite a while, but plan on coming here more often. They believe in having fun in life around here!

I've added the fender vents from a Monogram '77 T/A, and re-built the rear spoiler....

very nice grafting work..

i am looking forward to each new pic of this build..

looks like you rounded the front corners to match the concept pic...looking great!

really cannot wait to see this in primer..

are you going with a t top or full roof..

i hope if you do go t top version, that you are able to lay the tops as flush as possible to the roofline...

also, any idea on paint..?will you be painting it like the concept pic? i am hoping you go that way,but am sure it will look great no matter what you decide..

Thanks Mark! I'm gonna go with the t-tops. The car was a hard top to begin with, and I went nuts with a x-acto knife! :D The t-tops will have glass installed into them, and I'll add sheet plastic to hold them up. The car will be painted black, with the gold bird and stripes! Kind of a special edition car. Glad you like it, and I'll have another installment soon!

I finally went and got some more 2 part putty today. Ya should've seen the look on the paint store's clerk when I told him what it was for! :D

Here's an overall pic of the car puttied up....

The back end....

I filled the Camaro vents in, and added a little putty to the "C" pillar inserts. I just have to fill the rear spoiler in a little more, then spray a check coat of primer, to see if any of the body work needs to be touched up. Then I can spray a few final coats of primer, then the painting can begin! Let me know what you think, and thanks for looking!

This kit has inspired more interesting variations then any kit in recent memories but this one has the potential of being among the very best. I for one will be watching closely for updates. Well done.

Thanks Ismael! I plan to paint it black with gold accents.... But I don't plan adding a C.B. to it. I'm gonna change the interior too, to look more like a '77s. I have a dash from the Monogram '77 that I plan to install, and I'm going to either change the seats to look like the custom buckets, or I'll use the AMT, or Monogram seats, with the pillow style custom interior....
