For those of you familiar with Harbor Freight Tools, here are a few finds for those interested. I was just walking around the store waiting for my wife to finish shopping next door and just happened to see some new stuff that came in.

I was looking at the sandblasting powder which can be used for 2 things, of course, one and mainly for removing paint (they also had the airbrush specifically for this) and also, for carpeting, yes, carpeting, it's even thinner than the embossing powder which more and more guys are using nowadays!!! I decided to buy me an extra airbrush, paid only 12 bucks after a 20% off coupon a nice old lady handed me right there in the store!! I am sure it's not the greatest airbrush but I might be able to use it for water based paints, don't like to use my regular brush for this.

Sorry for the pictures, I took them with my phone camara.....

They also had a nice little airbrush stand along with small brushes to clean your airbrush. Had other useful little items also so if you guys find some time, check them out. I will let you know how the airbrush turns out..... ;)

Cool finds, buddy. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Virgil, they don't sell the greatest quality tools but they do have some good stuff specially when you are sticking to a tight budget.

Harbor frieght Tools are not exactly the best quality you can get but they have a lot of things that modelers can use.

From magnifying lamps to small vises and tools.

I tell my wife to let me know when she goes to Michaels or J0-Ann fabrics so that I can just walk around looking while she shops.

It is amazing what you can find sometimes.

I went here the other day to pick up wheel dollys so I could move my car around the garage and picked up a pack of small drill bits and a small wrok stand with the weighted base, aligator clips and magnifyer. There is a role of cheap tools in every thing. If you buy a cheap tool and it never breaks or goes bad, you never needed a good tool in the first place, but if it does go south, buy a better one. Things like the little drill bits, I break if they're good ones or cheapies...

Looks more like you're making a quick getaway! ;)

Harry!!! The deal was so good that I felt if I hung around the store too long after buying it, they would raise the price back up!!! :)

Harbor freight is a real good place for the modeler! I bought a VERY nice cut-off tool, a little gircular saw the does a GREAT job ot cutting Copper, aluminum, and styrene tubeing, and a nice vertical /tiltable disc type sander i paid LESS that 20 bucks apeice with the coupons I cut out of my car mags. Join their club, and they'll send ya weekly/monthly flyers with the coupons in them. Those tools are great if your NOT gona use them for HEAVY DUTY work.biggrin.gifwink.gif

I have one of those airbrushes, they're actually a pretty decent peice of equipment. Just did some Alclad work for a freind using it, did just as well as my Paasche did. Only thing I don't like is there's only 1 tip size.
