noname Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 (edited) I have to say, that's a lovely set of headers you have there. And I don't say that to everyone either. Edited July 21, 2010 by noname

Dragline Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 OMG Shane! I missed so much of this I hadda read all before I could comment. The axle looks great and so do the headers. This is really coming along quite nicely. I'm really stoked to see you put your talents to work on a project like this. You got the goods kiddo... Bob

Dragline Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Those look GREAT Shane! Well worth the effort and better than PE by a ###### site too. I'll never use kit spokes again. Something tells me neither will you. Bob
Fuel Coupe Posted August 1, 2010 Author Posted August 1, 2010 Bob, They were really easy to make and well worth the effort. I just need to finish up the fitting and glue the halves together...
dustym Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 (edited) Those front wheels are simply amazing! We (I) need to know how you did that. Please Edited August 2, 2010 by dustym
iBorg Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Shane: I'll admit your building is getting better all the time. This build is inspiring in so many ways. I do look forward to see this one finished. Hat's off to you! Mike
Tim Pentecost Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Shane, Looks absolutely bitchin', bud!!! Can't wait to see more progress. TimP
pharr7226 Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 The spokes looks stunning. Please share your building method.
iBorg Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Shane: I haven't tried this yet, but I hope to soon. Take a look at: http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Cold-Heat-soldering-iron/ This is a resistance unit. I like this design as several I've seen use a car battery charger which I'm leery to try. Mike
Fuel Coupe Posted August 2, 2010 Author Posted August 2, 2010 Thanks guys. The wheels jig takes the largest amount of time to get right. Once thats done its just a matter of lacing them up I used Ricemans tutorial along with a little prodding from Bob (Dragline) as he just finished a set for his Garlits 1R car. Check it out here in the drag section... Try it guys, REALLY simple stuff... Iborg, Im looking to put together a resistance soldering station. I'll look at that link, Thanks again...
dustym Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Thanks for the link. I bookmarked this as a must have.
Fuel Coupe Posted August 22, 2010 Author Posted August 22, 2010 (edited) Heres a little update on the F/E dragster. Few things I'm not happy about but I can square them up soon Edited August 22, 2010 by TxRat
Dragline Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Between the brakes, the fuel pump and the shutoff, I don't know what I like best now! Excellent progress Shane. Really great stuff. Bob
