BIGTRUCK Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Seen this kit sitting lonely on the shelf, so I picked it up....normal price 24.95...40% off...great deal........kit is a 1973 XB GT Ford Falcon Coupe from the Road Warrior movies , curbside , molded in black , right hand drive only, gimmicks are gas barrels and cans in the trunk area...chassis detail is pretty loose as well as the interior area....if you collect movie themed autos , its pretty nice as are all Aoshimas offerings....trying to turn it into something else would be a big project...........seems like this kit is always hard to find , even this was the only one HL had.......... thats dust on the front [i dropped it  ]
Custom Hearse Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 What engine was in the movie car? I thought about getting that kit at Hobby Lobby myself, but I'd have to put an engine into it.
carsntrucks4you Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 The orignal car was equipped with a 351 cui V8 with a fake Weiand blower. The blower was driven by the waterpump.

BIGTRUCK Posted February 9, 2007 Author Posted February 9, 2007 They look great Michael...The grime on your build looks awesome
monsterman Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 That has been one of the kits I've been wanting to get my hands on for awhile now, but all of my lhs havent had any that I've seen or come across and the net prices are just a bit to high for me.. Nice builds and nice steal @ price on that kit..
Privateer Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I've always wanted to build this car as I am a big fan of Max. Thanks for the look at it, I may have to pick one of these kits up.
Jantrix Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 I've heard they are a nice build up, but are just a curbside. It has an interior but no engine and the chassis is very basic. This is third hand info and I could be wrong. Good luck with it tho.
62rebel Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 thanks for all the info; those are impressive builds BTW; and i happen to have an unfinished Cobra that WILL be going into this kit. i'd rather have the Mad Max version than the Road Warrior one, so the rest of the torino kit will go into it too.
