Exotics_Builder Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 (edited) Got back to working on a Revell 56 Chevy Delray as a street machine. I’ve got off the Powerglide from the engine and added a Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland Turbo Hydramatic transmission. Thus I’ll still keep the column shifter. I also got a Model Car Garage Edelbrock kit for SMB Chevy. Also include a hi-rise SMB Chevy manifold from the parts box and will use a Holley carburetor. Still haven’t locked in the two tone color scheme other than Classic White. Stay tuned for more on that. Stay tuned for more. Edited May 16, 2011 by Exotics_Builder
sjordan2 Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Is that the Revell body? Looks perfect. My grandmother had one of these in light yellow and white.
crazyjim Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 a 56 Chevy 2 door post - my first and most favorite car of all time. I wish I had pics to show you. SMB w/4 barrel, station wagon springs in back to raise it up, white headers out the wheelwells, 4 speed. Seats came from a 64 Impala SS with the console. It was painted bristol blue. I'll be keeping an eye on this build.
Exotics_Builder Posted May 16, 2011 Author Posted May 16, 2011 Getting back to 56 Del Ray street machine. I have the interior painted and the body in Primer. Decided to do it in Evening Orchid metallic and white. Wheels are either going to be American mags (pictured), Cragar S/S or chrome reverse with baby moons. Jury is still out. I modified the SMB Chevy with a Turbo Hydro and Holley 4 BBL. Also using a MCG Edelbrock dress up kit for air cleaner and valve covers. Excuse the picture quality as my camera battery was low. Thanks, Gerry
