James, for a brief moment, I thought I was looking at an old P M C Kit . Then , I realized you actually "Backward engineered " an old Revell tool that once gave us a retractable and then a Wagon , then a 57 Ranchero . I'm impressed with the outcome . Ed Shaver

Actually Ed, the Wagon/Ranchero is a totally different kit than the Retractable. It's a'57. James - Very nice work!

Blue was one of the colors Ford painted their engines. I have numerouse 59 Ford engine pics, some are blue, some are red, some are aqua. All of em stock.

Actually the Ford engines of that era were black, the valve covers and air cleaners were different colors depending on the output - Ford blue engines started in 1966.
