Nice build, but I cant help but notice, that one of the teeth in the grill is gold color'ed, second from the left, and that in itself is a kewl idea, or did the chrome come off?, but i need to ask, were you going to paint the grill gold or was this just a test to see how it would look ???, nice build tho...

Thank you Michael and nice that you noticed that teeth... I painted it with transparend yellow, just over chrome and thats it. I wanted do that after i saw similar idea in 1:1 Buick here in Finnish hot rod magazine. B)

Reminds me of one that sat deserted behind an old shuttered up bar here in town back around 1963 or 64!

The guy that owned it was a squatter in the upstairs living quarters of the old tavern and the police left him be because it kept the place from being vandalized!

One night there was a fire upstairs and the man died from burns sustained from smoking in bed according to the Fire Marshall!

They tried for a long time to find his family to no avail and his car sat there for about 6 years sloly being destroyed by local punks that thought defacing others property was fun!

Before it dissappeared from the lot I can remember looking it over! 4 inch chop, Black with the most awsome flame job I had seen at that time, lowered with diamond tuck interior in Black leather and burgandy seude!

It had a fourspeed conversion, a late 50's or early 60's Mercury V8 with three deuces, duals out the back and cut outs leading to the lake pipes!

It had a car club plaque on the front bumper (that someone eventually stole) I cannot remember the name of but remember it was from Culver City, Cal.!

Wish I knew what ever happened to it. Even the Police didn't know what happened as te property was still abandoned and was not bought until around 1970!

Love the gold tooth effect!cool.gif
