I've seen these colors at my local hobby shop but never tried them yet. I'm considering using one of them for an upcoming project, but I thought it might be helpful to see them on a couple of kits before making any purchasing decisions.

I know that primer can affect the overall shade, so if possible, let me know if you used a white, gray or dark gray primer.

Thanks!

Don't have any way of posting photos, so I can't show you, but I can tell you that the ice blue pearl is just that--silver with just a slight hint of blue. I used silver to prime, so I also can't tell you what other color primers would do. I painted a '69 Nova with this paint, and I wasn't too thrilled with it initially, but it's grown on me since. It's an interesting color...

IIRC, Boyd's paints are somewhat more translucent than most, and have a tendacy for the paint to 'pull away' from edges... such as seams. The end result is the underlying color is still visible on both sides of each edge or seam. Consider using a similar color base coat under the Boyd's.

John E Bowers, JR: Those colors make that car pop! Thanks for the multiple pics.

Bart: That AMT '65 was a favorite of mine as a kid. That color looks killer on it as well. Thanks for posting your pic.

Looks like Dusty Rose can be used on rounder cars like John's as well as more angular cars like Bart's. :o

I'm still hoping to see some builds done in Ice Blue Pearl.

I think this is noT the best example that I can show for the color, but, the model has an special mean to me due to it was the first model I built when I return to modeling in 1997 after 14 years off. Also after being build, this model suffer the handling of my little son, 3 years old then B) . This Porsche was painted with both the Acrylic and the enamel testors version, weird, isn't? I used grey primer.
