brett Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Started on an old Johan Boss Hoss Mustang funnycar not sure what I'm going to do graphic wise yet. Theres a Hot Wheels same year mustang funnycar in the same colour as I've done this though the original boss hoss decals would work ok too.
Dragline Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Killer Brett. These old Jo-Hans are getting a workout lately. Looks great already and I'll be watching. Hotwheels eh? Not sure I've ever seen that one. Bob
brett Posted August 25, 2010 Author Posted August 25, 2010 Thanks Bob, dont know how many kids could have built these things..........talk about vauge instructions lol. Anyway heres the hot wheels and some progress
Smart-Resins Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 That is looking terrific so far! Would be cool to see it done like the HW! Nice job on that paint too!
John Teresi Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Good decision on the decals........look`s great.
Greg Cullinan Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Also a good decision on the color and your interior is sick.
brett Posted August 28, 2010 Author Posted August 28, 2010 Thank you both. All the tinwork, frame and the zoomies were done with metallisers a first time use of them for me, very happy with the color just need to get a sealer for them for the next one.
Dragline Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 (edited) THIS is a first. I have never seen this kit with the Boss Hoss decals. Darn it looks good..... Paint is MUY' sweet too Brett. My M/T build is falling short. [picking up slack] Bob Edited August 28, 2010 by Dragline
brett Posted August 29, 2010 Author Posted August 29, 2010 Thanks again guys Bob, originally I wasnt going to use the "boss" decals, was looking at Shirl Greer? then Mickey T then found a couple of kits I "couldnt live without" so there went my decal budget. Was considering doing it as the hot wheels car then after looking at pics from 50/60 shows it dawned on me I,ve never seen one built with the kit decals either, so here we have one lol
Fuel Coupe Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 turned out nice. I have a few of these in the wings and have NEVER built one. I just might now....
