Jantrix Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Here's a father-son project................ sorta. Last year I inherited about 30 kits. I was so jazzed and wanted to dive right in on em. The problem? My old projects that were on the shelf silently berating my lack of stick-to-it-iveness. The answer? Give the old projects to my 17 year old son Will! Brilliant! Yep and it worked out great. Here he's taken a Revell 32 3-window that I had painted three times before settling on the suede blue and then left to sit. He did some very unusual foil work and turned it into something very original. Pretty cool huh?
Greg Cullinan Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 I like it. I've always felt the deuce needs some chrome trim. I notice most builds the hinges aren't even chrome.
charlie8575 Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Very nice work. I like the extra sparkle, it looks good with it. Charlie Larkin
Jantrix Posted August 26, 2010 Author Posted August 26, 2010 Will says thanks very much for kind words.
mannyclub Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Sharp!! Nice wheels and color, bmf work. Manny
Agent G Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Good Job! Where did those awesome taillights come from? G
Jantrix Posted August 26, 2010 Author Posted August 26, 2010 I recently got a huge of box of kits and diecasts from my uncle. The diecasts were in seriously bad shape so I parted them out. I'm not sure which one they came from. So...................I've no idea.
Chuck Most Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Wasn't sure about the foil treatment at first, but I've decided I dig it.
John Teresi Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Rob.....nice looking build buddy.......keep on keeping on my friend.
Guest Johnny Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Interesting build with the use of the foil!
ChrisR Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Good Job! Where did those awesome taillights come from? G The taillights looks like the ones found in the AMT / Lindberg Ford Pickup.
Jantrix Posted August 29, 2010 Author Posted August 29, 2010 Thanks guys. My son is looking forward to his first contest as an adult (turned 17 in March, ###### I'm getting old) which will be the MAGS contest at SE Streetrod NAts in Oct. He'll be entering this deuce.
