sobpinstriping Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Hello once again, Here is a 1960 ford starliner I did about a month ago. This is the first time I used bmf (its awsome, I do pinstriping and i tried gold and silver leaf but it didnt work very well). It was also the first time for useing flocking (I wanted a dark blue for it but the only color the hobby shop had was white so I'm gonna order some differnt colors). If any one of you has noticed it seems like every time i post its a first time for something, all of you guys have opened my eyes to so much when it comes to model building to which I am very gratefull. Its pretty much box stock except for the baby moons which were from the deora show car model, the atenneas from the 60' chevy, a push pin for the gear shifter, and the intake and tri carbs from the parts box. This is my second attempt at doing a two tone paint job, its better than the last but still needs improvement, but I'm learning. cheers mat
W-409 Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Looks good! Nice colour on it, those scalloops are looking very nice. BMF is very good, very good work with it, specially if this was your first time ever...! Nice interior, like the shifter and engine bay looks very good, great detailing on it. This was my first model ever, seven years back I built it.
David G. Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 This is a really fun kit to build. I did mine in black, but I didn't have the courage to attempt BMF on that much chrome trim, your's turned out nicely. I ended up painting mine and it doesn't look nearly as sharp.
