Now that I have confirmed that externally the 427 / 454 are identical I need some suggestions as to the best 427 / 454 in kit. I personally think the Revell 67 Vette is the best ever done however it might have some differences in later years.

Can I sorta hijack your thread? What about the best 427/454 with a blower? Also, what's the best naturally aspirated one?

Len,

You indicated that you need one for a Corvette project. Is is a replica stock build and if so, what year?

Sorry guys I should be more specific. It will be a 73 Vette with the classic Hooker Side mount headers (like the AMT 70 Baldwin-Motion Vette) and will have a single 4bbl.

Think Period Mid 70's mild custom

Thanks Dave but it must be 1/25 those are 1/24. I know scale bigitry but..

The current problem is the Engine which must be 1/25.

What is your opinion of the Revell 1/25 67 Vette Engine?

The AMT 'new' 57 Chevy Street Machine has a really nice big block in it,with a fairly accurate high rise manifold and Holley carb. The only drawback (to me) is the lack of aftermarket type headers, but the cast iron stock type manifolds that come with it are pretty good looking....
