Ben Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Cool frame jig! That ought to keep it straight and level! I wanted to make something like that but to use after the axles are attached to make sure all the wheels sit on the ground correctly.
Mr mopar Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 That jig is a real good idea................ nice work keep it up!
codie27 Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Another useful tip shown on the forum. Great idea, thanks for sharing.
Ben Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Lookin great Scott! Can't wait to see it finished!
Sergey Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Nice start, Scott. But I thought the top of 379-th hood should sit parallel to the ground. Am I wrong, Tim?
SpreadAxle Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 He's building a short hood 379, so the hood has a slight slope. If it were the extended hood like my truck(see my avatar pic) then the top of the hood is parallel to the ground pretty much.
highway Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 A,M,S is better than C,R,S. Yep, I agree! Wait, what was C.R.S. again?!?!
Old Albion Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Scott, An excellent project! The build looks increadibly clean. With regards to the yellow Clatterpillar paint try some weathering on the engine this will hide the imperfections and add some realism to the truck. Dave
