1320wayne Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Here's my Grumpy's Monza. Pay no attention to the incorrect roman numeral. I know it's wrong for this year car. And a shot of my wife with one of her favorite personalities at the track.
W-409 Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 That's very sad thing, but I hope he gets better... But hey! 1320wayne, cant you tell me what is the kit behing that Monza...? I'm interested... My dad is building one. It has some Japan body mean Doyosha (not sure how I could write it correctly) and '57 Chevy Pro Sportsman frame... My dad built also this, Bill Jenkins tuned '62 Bel Air: Dave Strickler was the driver on this Bel Air but it's Tuned By Bill Jenkins.
Reliable Resin Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 (edited) I heard about "da Grump" yesterday , his shop is just down the road from me here & just got off the phone w/ Hospital he's in , all I can say is that he's recovering well & resting The nurse spoke w/ @ the "nurses station" told me "Grumps going to be OK" Have lots of great memories w/ him , & he wasn't as Grumpy as he's made out to be ( especialy after his fav. double Dewers on the Rocks ) In a couple weeks I'll be up @ the Keystone Nats ( Grumps Home Track ) I hope he's strong enough to pull through , as I've attended way to many Funerals lately ! Build ON ! Don Edited September 22, 2010 by Reliable Resin

The Monza build was done using an MPC Monza street car kit. The chassis has been back halved using the tubbed section from a Chevelle pro street kit. Everything else was pretty much parts box items and Fred Cady decals.
