Hello, bought a collection of models and some rsins. How can I tell what maker is what? Im going to be listing some stuff for trades soon. Some are in boxes and some are in bags and tagged. Some others are loose. Any ideas? Cant post photos here as they always say file to large or something like that. Anyway thanks for your help!

Drew,

Take smaller photos (find the setting on your cam to go from "Fine" or "Superfine" to a smaller resolution), or upload your photos to a photobucket or similar account, and use the IMG tag (two icons over from the smiley, looks kinda like a Polaroid or postage stamp) and paste the code (address) for the image so that it displays in the post here. I'd love to see what you've got to offer.

personally, I use Paint to reduce the size of pictures. First I'll open a file, then go to the "Image" tab on top, scroll down to "Stretch/Skew", and in the Horizontal and Vertical figures, I'll type a percentage number that I want to reduce it by (Figure that it starts at 100%). Say, you want it just a little smaller, put in 90 for both horizontal and vertical (the same # keeps the dimensions of the photo intact). If you want it even smaller (by a larger margin, for example), go back into Stretch/Skew and type in maybe 60/60 or even 50'50 (horizontal/vertical). If it's too small, click on Edit, then Undo, and go back and type in a slightly larger margin (it can even be odd numbers, like 73/73, just as long as both numbers are the same). If there is excess stuff that takes up space around the stuff you want to show, crop the picture, and once you're done, save it without changing the file name so it rewrites the old file, therefore keeping wasted file space to a minumum (so you don't have a large file, and then a reduced size smaller picture of the same thing). Hope this helps, I know it sounds like a lot of steps but it takes all of maybe 30 seconds per picture once you get the hang of it, lol. :D

That's the nice thing about Photobucket, you can change the settings so it will upload them at a smaller size.

If you want to know how, look under the button that says "upload images and videos" for a link that says "more options". That's where you can choose what size the pics are uploaded at.

I kinda like that '62 :bubbletop" Pontiac, & could you post a couple of pics of the '56 Chevy sedans? I want a '56 Bel-Air sedan. Thanks for your time, Del

I know how, but whenever I use photobucket to resize pictures in photo editor, it always seems to distort them. It's pretty finicky I guess, plus I like cropping the excess out to save space so I can load more pictures. It's all about megapixel size too, a lot of people think that the more MP in a camera, the sharper the picture. Well, this is sort of true. All it really means is more tiny little dots are used to make up the picture, and in return the file size is pretty large as a result. You can go down to 3-5 megapixels and still get a nice clear picture, and the file size won't be nearly as big.

Is it 2 door or 4 door?

I tried that with your '72 Blazer with no luck... ;) I do have a dismantled built-up RMX '59 Chevy that might work under that '60 Chevy body. I know that's not a good trade for a resin body, but it could be a start...

I had sent a PM about the Midnight Cowboy to Drew and had also asked him about that 72 Blazer right after he'd posted it, along with a few other things. My question is, I went to add a reply to it tonight with an offer, and it says Drew left the conversation! What gives, Drew? :):lol:

PM me with any offers if you would please instead of posting them here. Thanks. Drew
