wgflatliner Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 This is still a WIP, but about 80% done. What we have is the Tamiya Ferrari F40 Competizione edition. The kit came with PE parts, which were pretty nice. The build up is typical Tamiya quality, with only two fitment issues residing in the Rear engine bonnett (the "hood"), and the exhaust tips do not match up to the exhaust port on the rear bumper. Decals were great, from Cartograph, although a couple minor spots of the decals broke during the time it was setting. I did add SMS carbon fiber to the interior tub and under-surface, Faux Fabrix textured spray paint for the seats and dash, braided lines, and I used Hobby Design valve stems on the tires. The car is also going to be fully plumbed and wired, although most of it you won't be able to see. on with the show!

David G. Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 I can't believe it. All that work, and only one good comment. This is an excellent build with a lot of great detail work.
