Nick Winter Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Started this a while ago, 429 Boss engine, removed alot of stuff, smoothed it out, lowered it a bit, hacked away most of the bed and replaced it with real orange crate wood.Painted it Citrus Orange, and printed the decals myself.
sigmaman Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 That came out well. Still need to work on your painting a bit,but your getting there.

Jordan White Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 (edited) No, a little orange peel is appropriate for this build! (Just messin with ya Nick!) I still think that it would look better with a body color bed and stake sides, but otherwise it's a fine looking truck! Edited October 8, 2010 by YJIslander
Nick Winter Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 No, a little orange peel is appropriate for this build! (Just messin with ya Nick!) I noticed that after I had cleared and thought it was appriate, besides I didn't feet like fixing it.

Jared Roach Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) I know Nick, he's here now, and we had words before you got back. Nobody really knows what happened over on your site between this guy, but it wasn't good. Nick asked you to stay away from him, so just do it to keep the peace. But anyways it looks pretty good Nick, love the bed, very cool. Edited October 12, 2010 by bowtiebadboy333
Nick Winter Posted October 12, 2010 Author Posted October 12, 2010 Sometimes you know you're probably spitting into the wind, but you have to at least try, right? Just a bit of advice here, for both Nick and Jimmy: OK, so you guys had some sort of dust-up but, it was: 1) On another board 2) Here, but a long time ago since Nick has been absent for a while 3) Obviously about something not model-related. Now...here it is...being dragged into a thread. Nick-you don't have to answer Jimmy if you don't want to. But your responses are either exactly what he wants, or are going to make him mad so that this escalates. Jimmy...Nick doesn't want you to comment on his posts, but it's a public forum. You can keep doing it, but it'd be an indication that you are more interested in getting under Nick's skin than anything else now that you know he doesn't like you. It's up to you guys...you can act in a mature way from here out, or you can fight, start angry exchanges, get banned, etc. Just think about what you're doing. The younger people here always get upset when they're treated like children, but if younger people ACT like children...well...you can't really blame long-time posters for calling it how they see it. Play nice, gentlemen. Mark I appreciate the thought but, I want to make this clear to Jimmy, PLEASE DO NOT POST IN MY POSTS IT WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED, THANK YOU
Nick Winter Posted October 12, 2010 Author Posted October 12, 2010 Guys I'm just ignoring it now. plain and simple, can we get back to why were here model building
Harry P. Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Nobody here can tell anyone else where they are allowed or not allowed to post. If you guys have some sort of problem you have two choices: A. Work it out privately, but keep it off this forum. B. Stay mad at each other, but keep it off this forum. Whatever personal nonsense you two have between each other, it's not appropriate, or wanted, here. If you keep on acting like a couple of 12-year olds here, you'll both be shut down and your posts will be deleted.

So does that mean when I ask legitemite questions I can get legitemite answers? I still want to see and learn about what I asked. Thanks! JIMMY!
Harry P. Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Jimmy, you did ask a legitimate question. But if Nick wants to ignore your question, there's nothing you can do about that. No sense in dragging this out... you two obviously have issues, and like I said, keep whatever those issues are off this forum.

I didnt mind so much he didnt anser the question, I didnt like or think it was fair the way the other guys talked at me rudely who I wasnt talking too. I didn’t’ have a issue with him (nick) until he responded like that and his buddys ganged up again. I dont’ no why they acted like that to me because I wasn’t being rude or nothing and I don’t care why nick doesn’t like me, ‘I just thought he might have grown some maturity while he was gone. my mistake I guess. THANKS! JIMMY!
whale392 Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Well Nick, I can see an improvement in your building skills with this build. That is a very good thing and I personally believe that with more time you will get even better. At least you (unlike me!) finish one!
chris coller Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I like how this came out. It is a definite improvement from when I first seen your posts. Keep plugging away and use the negativity as motivation to be come better. The next step is polishing out that orange peel and waxing it to a pretty shine. Keep up the good work!
