DRG Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 I just got back into modeling 4 or 5 months ago. I am approaching retirement age and wanted something to occupy my time. Remembering the fun I had as a child building models I thought, "why not." I must admit that either my memory is worse than I thought or the Hobby has changed over the last forty years. The things I have bought in order to make models were not on my workbench as a child. I believe I have everything I will need to get me through the coming winter though. Of course I will buy a model now and then. I have fifteen models to build and two in progress. Happy Modeling everyone.
charlie8575 Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 I'd say you're in pretty good order to get things going, Don. Don't forget to pick up a few tools and such as your need and budget arises. That paint booth looks good. I might pick one of those up for myself, as it looks like it's big enough to do anything I'd be likely to do. Charlie Larkin
Foxer Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 They just didn't have all the specialized tools we do now, at least they weren't as readily available. Plus, as kids way back when, we couldn't AFFORD them! It's been 2 years into retirement for me now and my tool box is pretty well supplied, but I still get some new-fangled something if it looks like it will make the job easier.
Greg Cullinan Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 There's always something else you need. Do you have hydrator? Lol
mikemodeler Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 Looks like you are well on your way to having a nice setup. Just remember to pick up supplies as you need them. That workbench area looks very organized and thought out, you should be able to find the tools when needed.
