W-409 Posted September 28, 2011 Author Posted September 28, 2011 hey where did you find or can you find an delco battery like that? i got to find me one or two ! Actually, I have no idea where it is from. But that one is just from my parts box. Maybe someone else knows better, I'd like to hear also where it is from... I could cast resin copy from that, but it is too hard to cast that part yet, maybe some day...
W-409 Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 Well, it's getting close to finish, but now there are coming some more pictures. Not too many updates anymore, I'm trying to get this one finished maybe today, or tomorrow. At saturday I'm going to take this (and few other as well) to local model car show/contest. So tomorrow it needs to be done, but I think, that's not a problem. I glued chassis to body, everything fits really nicely right now, and now I'm waiting for glue to dry. Also added some black wash on the grille, and painted Chevrolet logo too.
W-409 Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 Thanks, Virgil! Now the grille is waiting for assembly. I painted those "Dagmars" semigloss black. Also polished that hood, and some BMF to the badge on the frontend of it. Panel lines got some black wash too. It's getting there, now I need to go and get new bottle of super glue, old one is now empty and gluing metal parts needs super glue...
W-409 Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 Ok, here comes last update today. Tomorrow maybe one or two more and then Under Glass. I've continued engine detailing. I built brackets for the battery, but you can't see them well from these pictures. Also installed battery cables, and heater hoses. Built generator wires too, but they are not istalled yet. The radiator wall is painted and waiting for assembly, then I can istall water hoses etc. Still pretty many things to do, but they aren't big things. Brake master cylinder needs to be done too, and brake lines... Well, it must be finished before saturday morning, so tomorrow when I'm home from school, then I'll continue the building with full speed.
oldscool Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 That is some great work Niko. You are making an old kit look good. gus
W-409 Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Thanks, Gerald And Cole! Now this is the last update before it gets finished, then I post pictures to Under Glass. I have finished the engine bay with all of the details. I added also brake master cylinder and brake lines are on their places. Rear bumber is installed, headlights are on... Hood is completed too. Here are few pictures, maybe under glass post comes tomorrow, or sunday, I just don't have time for everything.
