Ron Hamilton Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I have always wished that Cadillac would have continued the rear drive full-sized coupe after 1984, So I decided to build my own once Revell released this kit. I painted it with Testors'1995 Chevrolet Dark Cherry Lacquer, with a silver pearl urethane trim like the factory, and a Dark Cherry Cabriolet Roof.. The interior was too plain, so I upgraded it to the "d'elegance" pillowback trim in light gray"leather". I used a set of Detail Master 100 spoke photoetched wire wheels, mounted on a set of "Vogue" Tyres.
bsoder Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 OK Ron this may be a little late..but NICE Caddy ...I was looking for something and I noticed one of your builds with 0 replies so I took a look to see why....and heck if I know!

montelsc Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I used to own a real 1982 coupe thats the last of the real and the big caddys
charlie8575 Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I like this! I've thought of doing something very similar with one of these, or possibly just converting it into a Brougham, fill in the sunroof, and do a "if I had ordered it" car. Great build, and something that really does look like a car GM should've built. Where exactly did you come across the wheels? Also, is the chassis set up so it can be made stock ride-height or did you have to modify it? Charlie Larkin
Modelsbyroni Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Nice build. GM should've kept making full size 2dr cars. Not everyone likes 4dr sedans.
Danno Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Nice, Ron! Three years ago, or now, still nice!
davyou5 Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 An Excellent build! Very Realistic in feel .
Ron Hamilton Posted November 29, 2010 Author Posted November 29, 2010 looks great is that the metal body? the interior does look better No, it is the plastic bodied kit.
george 53 Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 VERY nice job Ron. I used to build those cars. You have no idea of the types of options that were available on them! The aftermarket had JUST as many add on components for Caddy's as they do for Camaro's and Mustangs! Caddy's RULE!!!!
