Bruno Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Hey everyone! I just finished this one yesterday, it's Revell's Dodge Sidewinder show truck kit, it's a nice kit BTW, but the body can be tricky to assemble. I've seen this kit often, but have seen only one, other than mine, finished. It's a box stock build, no details added or parts swapped, everything comes from the box. Color is HOK tangerine pearl basecoat and urethane clearcoat. Here's some pics;
TheCat Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Really cool build. You did an awesome job on it. I have that kit myself and it's on my to build list.
Marc @ MPC Motorsports Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Very nice and clean build of a kit you seldom see built.
camaroman Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Very nice and clean build of a kit you seldom see built. That's because it make such a nice Parts kit!!! Nice job on the buildup of this one!!!
davyou5 Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Yes very Awesome! I like it . Excellent job !
Foxer Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Great to see one of these build .. I'm always eying it in the LHS. That's a fine looking build you did!
Railfreak78 Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Looks great! I always did like the original concept.
Raul_Perez Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Very nice build!! The paint looks GREAT!! Personally, I like the look of it with the top down more than with the top up... Thanks for sharing,
kelson Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 What a great looking build!,i built this kit about 2 years ago but i just couldn't get the body to go together properly i just threw it back in the box and forgot about it.Glad to see yours turned out,shocked to see in the last two pics you have snow on the ground!
Chuck Most Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Love it! Funny, I think this is the first one I've ever actually seen built up aside from the one on the box art!
Bruno Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 Thanks everyone! And yes, that's snow you see, we had snow on the ground sunday morning, but it's all gone now. Love it! Funny, I think this is the first one I've ever actually seen built up aside from the one on the box art! The one on the box art is the real thing, not a model
Harry P. Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Way too early for snow! Oh, and by the way, that is a spectacular model. So clean and sharp, everything looks surgically precise. Very nice work!
Bruno Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 I think it's too early too, but normal around here... Glad to know you guys see the same pics I do
Harry P. Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 If I lived where snow in late October/early November was "normal" I'd move!!!
Bruno Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 I've been thinking about moving for years...
Harry P. Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I've been thinking about moving for years... Come on down!!!
Bruno Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 Come on down!!! Believe me, we'd love to
