Hey everybody! It's been a loooong time since I have posted anything, mainly because I haven't picked up my camera in forever. I have completed projects, and I will post them as I get a chance. For now, this is my most recent completion, the new ZR by Revell. I love this kit and I have bought several kits. Let's take a look:

I went with Jetstream Blue on this one. It is actually Tamiya Light Blue Metallic over a Silver Leaf base. It really makes the metallic pop. Wheels were stripped and redone in Alclad, they are a really great casting, but lose their detail buried in all that Revell chrome coating!

SMS carbon fiber was used on the roof, chin spoiler, and ground effects.

I like this shot. Interior was done in two tone and I flocked the carpets, as well as carbon fibered the center stack.

I really do value your questions and comments, it's the only way we can grow in this hobby.

Thanks for looking! Ed

What a great looking car! I like the color. How does this kit fit together? looks like everything lines up. Did you have to modify any part to get it to fit? How is the fit at final assembly?

Thanks for the compliments! Everything went together fine, you just have to sand down the panel that holds the hood hinges in place a little bit or else the body won't sit on the chassis correctly. Other than that, the whole final assembly process was a breeze.

Very nice looking build. That blue is, in my opinion, the perfect color for just about any Corvette....I know, most guys love the yellow and black "Bad Boy" schemes, but I love those variations of the old Le Mans blue. The carbon fiber is a nice touch too. I have that kit, you are absolutely correct, the castings look great. I am planning a racing version of my ZR1 kit....a phantom GT3 car. Anyway, yours looks great just the way it is. :)

Very nice build and paint job. I agree with Peter. The blue looks great and is an excellent choice for any Vette. I'm still waiting to build a 67 in Marina Blue.
