So basically you got two of those kinds of days in the United States?

I believe that there is also a Memorial Day and correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that also commemorates U.S. soldiers that died in all the wars?

No disrespect meant Clay, but I disagree. I think Memorial Day is for those who gave their lives, and Veterans day is for those who have and are currently serving, deador alive. At any rate, a big thank you to those who served, are serving, and gave their all for this country.

Thank you guys. I am an Army vet from 1967-1970 and I want to thank all who have served and are serving now for your service. If it wasn't for our serving there wouldn't be a veterans day. To all who gave their all a very special thanks. GOD BLESS all who have served and are serving now.

I've been very thoughtful on this Veterans' Day with every new piece of TV coverage and wonderful threads like this, and just now I had the experience of watching a pair of guys in ultralight craft flying over my neighborhood, one of them with a stars and stripes sail. Well, it's emotional.
