Went to the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show in Rosemont Illinois. My camera battery started to act up so the pictures aren’t the greatest. So much for Lithium Ion life, the camera is about 2 years old. Anyway, some interesting cars, although lots of GM’s. Here’s are some sample shots. Link is below.

I was there for setup, but had to leave on Friday. I must say, I think my dad did an awesome job with the show - I've been to tons of car shows, and I've never seen such a large gathering of ultra-rare musclecars, and all were real!

A recap of my favorites:

4 of the original 9 1970 Hemi Cuda convertables (I even got to drive the white one!)

A bunch of other E-body converts, including a Canadian Black on Blue 440 Cuda - way too cool)

2 '69 Daytonas

2 '70 Superbirds, one of which was a former NASCAR

Too many Baldwin Motion cars to count (I also got to drive a Motion Camaro)

Several COPO Camaros and Novas

Ateast 2 ZL1 Camaros

El Hemi (real and model! I met the owner Juan Escalante, who is a great guy!)

A real Shelby Cobra

The only documented Hemi Challenger that came with a TA hood from the factory

And a ton of other cool stuff!

Thanks for the pictures, wish I could have been there! Seems like the new Camaro was well represented and some nice muscle cars too.

2 of the main sponsors build them as a primary product. Nickey Chicago, and Mr. Norms. I don't know much about the Norms cars, but the Nickey cars range from 600-1,000 hp, NA, SC, or TT options. Very fun cars!

A co-worker bought a '67 Nickey Camaro back in 1981 for $3,500. It was all original except for the Dana 60 rearend with 5:17 gears. Swapped it out for a 12 bolt with 4:10's and went cruising. Nothing like nailing the gas while in second gear and snapping your neck! I can only imagine what that car is worth today.

I had heard that Nickey was building new Camaros so not surprised to see so many in the pictures. Hopefully they are like the ones built in the '60s, fun and fast!

Thanks again for the info on the show. I only wished I still lived in the area as I would have been at the show.
