This one started out as the Revell Germany "Australia" version of the 108" cab. Pretty much box stock with the addition of photoetched stacks and nameplates, and I swapped out the headlights and horns with some from the parts box. The trailer is the reissued Fruehauf flat with a scratchbuilt side kit and tarp which I made from sheet and strip styrene and some matte black vinyl from work.

A very very nice Rig indeed.

The tarp looks just perfect. Did you need to heat the vinyl to get the realistic sagging you have so expertly replicated?

Well done, give the man a cigar.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. The vinyl for the tarp is adhesive backed and super thin and it layed down better than I had expected without having to heat it. This is actually the second one I had built so I pretty much had the bugs worked out on the first one. This is the one I built about five years ago based on the Great Dane extendable flat with a 10'-1" spread.

WOW! Both rigs are cooooooooooooool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really like the color schemes! Excellent job on the tarps too! How did you cut them to where the lower edge is straight all the way around the trailer?
