Bruce, I have that kit, and i gotta admit here, in front of EVERYBODY, that THAT is THEE NICEST build of that kit that I have EVER seen!!!!!. THISmodel is a PERFECT example of what a good modeler can do with a not so great kit(EXCEPT for the subject matter)! I see where you took your time to think out what parts to use, where to make your cuts WITHOUT butchering up the chassis, and a few other tips that I could've used! But i got ANOTHER one of them rascals, an now that I've cheated, an seen YOUR hard work, I hope you don't mind if i "borrow" some of them! GREAT job. I REALLY like how it came out. Now I just gotta figger out how to LOWER that bad boy just a tad!. THANKS for posting this!!!!!B):DB);)

Wonderful conversion! Very inspiring. Great job on this kit though it does seem a tad high. I can almost hear the roar as it's taking off.

Been waiting to do one of these myself. I plan on using the 351 from the latest '70 Stang, the rear transaxle from a Series 1, a Tilt Pantera kit (though it seems more like 1/25th than 1/24th) or one of the other Testors/Fujimi/others. I think I have 5 different Pantera kits around here. One of them is bound to work... I have two friends with 1:1s so reference material is not hard to come by.

Neat looking. Weren't those cars just underpowered Ferraris? Those rear tires are huge.

Therein lies the beauty. If you felt it was underpowered, you just went to your local speed shop (or online like Jegs, etc...) and got hop-up parts for the Ford 351 Cleveland motor. From mild to wild, whatever your flavor... I can just imagine a 6:71 blower hanging out the top of one of these...

Italian design, American muscle...
