Yesterday morning we got a call that my wifes father just passed

and then trying to get our son home from Alaska this morning woke to 42 gal of water from are fish tank in our livingroom...So GOD if you are listening we have had enough we can't take no more.

Hey Walt. Sorry for your trials brother. These things, too, shall pass. Yea, God listens and He never puts us in trials that He doesn't provide strength for. You just wouldn't believe all that has come against me in the last 2 years, including my dad passing. Not whining, because I know exactly where he is through his faith.

Please convey to your bride my sincerest condolences. Terrible time to have the fish tank let go, but it will also quickly become a memory. Your family will be in my prayers. Despite it all, I wish you and yours a blessed Christmas. You can choose to have a great Christmas; up to you, bear up brother.

I just sent a scripture(daily word) out this morning that may help. Its Ecclesiastes 3:1 "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." Remember if your going through a season of trials, there will be a season of blessing coming.

Our condolances from the Cook household on your loss. It's never easy losing a loved one and so much bad stuff seems to happen to people right around Christmas.. not sure why it seems to happen this way, but I know a lot of people who have lost loved ones at this time of year. I truly believe that He does indeed hear your cry and He knows your sorrow and hurt and yes, it's OK to vent - absolutely.

So sorry to hear of your loss...made worse because of the Holiday Season. You will get through this, remember, what doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger. They say God only gives you what you can handle....I know sometimes it seems to be too much and it can overwhelm you....have faith, you guys will get through this....remember, life is a series of challenges and obstacles that must be overcome....no one ever said it would be easy. Everyone gets their turn in the grease, but at some point, it is someone elses turn.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your father-in-law. Hopefully the water didn't freeze in your house. Did you get your son home or on his way? He's a USAF firefighter, right? It may to be hard to believe about now, but things will get better - just hang in there.

Just wanted to drop a note and thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers and that the kid made it home safe and sound tonight and as for the fish yea they lived but they went to a friend next door, tank and all.

I would like to say a HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all of my extended family on here and be safe .

Well today we had to go to a family meeting with my wifes family about the funeral and while we were gone our son decorated the whole house for us for christmas because we really haven't been in the holiday spirit with everything that has been going on.

He knows how much jean loves christmas and he wasn't going to let her go without christmas this year.

I think we have to be one of the luckest parents in the world to have a kid like like him, I guess we did something right with him. Thanks for listening
