SuperStockAndy Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 (edited) Hey everyone, my name is Andy. I am a 12 year old boy from Indiana. I've been building models since I was about 7. I mainly build muscle cars, and drag cars. I'll take criticism on my builds, but I have no camera at the moment Edited December 16, 2010 by Android

DRG Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Welcome to the best model car forum around. The information and advice that is available is great. It's also great to have a young man showing an interest in this model building hobby.
Foxer Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 (edited) Welcome in and glad to see you've been watching, Andy. (I told Santa you need a camera for Xmas) I think I was 8 when I started building, but it took a couple years before AMT started making cars ... then the planes just flew away. Foxer Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Thanks guys...... Much appreciated! Mike, we ordered a camera like 3 weeks ago, never got anything saying it had shipped out That stinks. But, some places just don't get it and treat customers like they don't exist. Where was it ordered from?
SuperStockAndy Posted December 17, 2010 Author Posted December 17, 2010 I'm not sure. My mom was the one that ordered it. I'm trying to think it was from Buy.com.
Agent G Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Welcome Andy and don't worry to much about mishaps. I've spilled more paint than I ever applied to any model. Hope you get a camera soon, we'd like to see your work. G
SuperStockAndy Posted December 17, 2010 Author Posted December 17, 2010 Thank you! I've made worse mistakes than spilling pait all over my desk though......
Nick Winter Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 You should see my work bench ahh what the hay, here's a picture, I'm not ashamed, just wished I hadn't had to buy so much paint then of course when ever I'd go to clean it, I'd just make it worse Welcome to MCM and Glad to see I ain't the youngest (15) Nick
imatt88 Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Andy, Welcome aboard!! Good to see young people still building. I though computer games was killing our hobby.. Were abouts in Hoosier land do you live? I was stationed a Grissom AFB back in the early '80s and I really liked it there. I used to buy all my kits from a mall in Logansport, can't remember the name now, its been so long.. Then in 2003, I was with a unit that mobilizes out of Camp Atterbury, near Columbus. I liked the Columbus area, but Camp Atterbury was no fun I started building when I was 11, and you haven't lived until you've used latex house paint to paint a model Cheers, Ian
SuperStockAndy Posted December 18, 2010 Author Posted December 18, 2010 (edited) Thanks guys! @Nick: Mine's twice as bad as that, and I just got the desk a couple years ago! @Ian: North east corner. We go to Bunker Hill Dragstrip to watch my unlce race, we drive past Grissom AFB on highway 31 every time! Edited December 18, 2010 by Android
imatt88 Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Yeah, I remember that place!! I hope to make it back down there again someday. I hear Grissom has a real nice aircraft museum now
