Zoom Zoom
Bob, last I heard, the Fujimi REs were not yet available in Japan. Did you somehow manage to get a set? The parts-pack RE's aren't out until the end of April according to Hobbylink, they're from the already-available F430 Optional Parts Version (wheels and sport seats are the difference). http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ12256 http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ12269 Z06 w/RE's from my F430 kit: These wheels would be great for the Fiorano if they were just one scale inch larger in diameter. ismaelg
How about these wheels? These Pegasus wheels are supposed to be 23 inches or so in 1/25. The tires were replaced with meatier ones also from Pegasus but I don't know the details since I traded them with a friend. Thanks,
Zoom Zoom
19" BBS RE's issued in Japan on April 17. Box illustration is a bit deceptive, the RE's on a Ferrari have a thinner rim and look better. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10057042
larrygre
Bob, I'll get them anyway. Probably two sets or so, and try dechroming and "sleeve-ing" them to a 20" tire. But I have to admit, those Pegasus rims on Izzy's 612 look great. Wonder how they would look under the Fiorano?
lordairgtar
This is a great post. I like to see this kind of description even though Ferrari cars are not my favorite...uh...OK...I like the older ones; there! I said it. I think this car looks like a Vette, too. hogs29
Thanks for all the great reference photos! I'm not big on the design of the 599 or the 612, but it does have that prancing horse on it, so I'll definetly be picking up one of these kits. Does anyone know if the Fujimi kits will be curbside or full detail?
larrygre
The Fujimi kit is a curbside.
crispy
Larry, Have you received your Fujimi 599 yet? I'm hoping to have mine here in a few days. I'll post some side by side comparisons if anyone is interested. The more I look at it the more I love it. Chris
larrygre
Not yet, Chris. HLJ says they shipped April 13th so I figure bare minimum 15-25 days from leaving Japan. I'm anxious to see the differences also.
