RS Sport Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Hey everybody, this is mine and Dad's second model. We have been working on this for a couple of months now. The body is the same molded colour that came with the kit. I did the window trim painting and Dad did the body trim and the lights. I did a bit of the interior painting and Dad did the seat-belts. Those seat-belts were a nightmare! I've still got a while to go on my painting skills, but I'm getting there as I'm only an eleven year old. Thank you for looking!
diymirage Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 thats a nice looking suby there Josh i cant wait till my boy is old enough and we can build together, im using my nephew untill then, hes about your age just like with everyhing else, your painting skills will improve wiht practice so dont sweat it, just keep building were those seat belts part of the kit or are they aftermarket ? either way, they look great
ian ashton Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Very nice! You'll develop your skills over time, you seem to be ahead of the average 11 year old for sure! A great sidebar is that building models will build much more character than playing video games! Keep up the great work!

Foxer Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Glad to see you posting your work and building with your Dad rocks! That's how I got started. Your painting skills ARE looking good at your age. One trick for painting trim is to use some masking tape, like 3M painters tape, along the edges and then you can just slop the paint on.
Foxer Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 if only there was a video game in which you can build models Lego Digital Designer!!
dwc43 Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 if only there was a video game in which you can build models Hot Rod Garage. lol
RS Sport Posted December 19, 2010 Author Posted December 19, 2010 (edited) Thank you everyone for the compliments! were those seat belts part of the kit or are they aftermarket ? either way, they look great Thank you, the seat-belts were a part of the kit. They had to be cut from a sheet of thin plastic sheet. Edited December 19, 2010 by RS Sport
