Maybe it's already been mentioned? It's a solvent for assembling plexiglass. It's a hot solvent, not a glue/adhesive that actually melts plastic together while having a calibrated evaporation rate. It's fast

Sounds pretty similar to Plastruct weld solvent. I used that all the time on my slot cars. Not so much on my model kits though.

I don't,sounds like a solid tip though.Price?

I think that pint (pretty big can) was $9. Then you get a small plastic squeeze bottle with a syringe like needle to apply.

Wow, i use Plastruct exclusively! A can THAT size would do me REAL nice! WHERE can you get it in THAT size????:D:blink::lol:

I get it at a plastic (plexiglass) supply place. There's 3 or so around here. I also buy "remnants" and build displays. They sell hinges too.

Those displays are amazing. I think I just found a new project.

Thank you! The big one was really fun to build. I left a small access on each side, but built it mostly with the top off....loading different ideas as they came to me. Then I added the top....and added some more weirdness attached to the top, using the side openings

Been using Weldon for years. I get the 3 and 4 depending on how quickly I am looking for a set. I also use Micro-Marks glue applicator(a short piece of glass tubing with a piece of hypodermic tubing in the end. It really controls the flow very nicely. You are right about the price. I keep two tins of each around. I have a small 4 oz tin as my working bottle and a pint as reserve. I discovered the hard way that this stuff evaporates super quick. I left the lid off my small bottle and it was gone the next day! Good stuff though. I love my local Plexi dealer. He sells his scraps for $5 a pound. Most of his scraps are at least 12" to 24" square. I can make a lot of display cases for that price.
