trey allen Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 (edited) Well, this is my first shot at this stuff since I was 10. Back then, I built a model in hours, and thought it was great. I've been working on this for 4 days now, and its turning out.....decent? The blower intake didn't go well. Tried painting the butterflies, but one of them bled out, so it became tinted red. And I still have a lot left to do on it. Anyway, please, tell me what I could do better. Edited December 24, 2010 by vwtrey
carchub Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Hey thats pretty good! I actually like the red tint, goes with the theme
slantasaurus Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Keep working at it, everything you do should improve. What you have so far looks good just keep at it and it'll get better.
Modlbldr Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Trey- It seems a bit early to offer any criticism since there isn't much going on yet. What is there looks just fine. Are you going to add any plug wires? Keep at it and it'll turn out fine. Jut take your time and don't rush things. Later-
randx0 Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Your doing just fine . At this point just getting some hours under your belt will serve you best. just getting the whole thing built will show you where you will want to improve on the next one. keep it fun.
Terror Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Worried about that bleed?Take a clean brush with thinner on it.Work it into the bleed and keep wipeing the brush couple 2-3 times, it will take it right off.
Brokentail58 Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Nice work so far. Don't worry about mistakes, they help remind you the next time to do it better. Take your time and it will turn out great. I just started building again over a year ago and the Hippie Hemi was the base for one of my first builds. I shortened the frame and used a blown caddy motor and built it to look like a 60's era dragster.
