Nice Nova!

I built mine the same as yours, but gloss yellow just like the box.

As for your camera, have you tried the macro setting? Its icon is a little flower. Turn it to macro, and halway press and hold the picture-taking button(don't know the name for it). Once it focuses, push the button down all the way, and wallah!

My cheap camera doesnt have a macro mode and the specs say minimum focus distance is 3.2ft. My wifes camera is MIA right now so Im going to get a new one with macro mode. I will post other pics when I get the new one. Any recomendations for under 200 bucks

If you go to Walmart.com's Website you will find many under $200.00 With Macro Mode, It's were I got my camera, though not without its Flaws. But at this Time I really could not recommend a Brand.

Jay, first welcome to the forum!! Love that model you built. From what I see it's a very clean build!! Very good!! B) B) B) B)

Now about Camera's: It's true what they say, the cheaper the camera the less functions you'll have. So going cheaper is not always a good thing. Now, if you go to CNet.com you can research the best camera for your money. CNET does review and customers reviews as well.

I found this Camera that can do Macro at 0.4in - 19.7in and it's below the $200.00 range. It's

called: Canon PowerShot SX130 IS.

Check it out and others in CNET. Good luck! B)

Welcome to the forum, Jason! Your model looks very good, what I can see from that picture. Here is one way, which might work if your camera doesn't have macro mode. Go far away from the model and zoom in (?) as much as you can. So you stand few meters away from the model and zoom as muxh as you can. Understand? (My enghlish isn't so great...) When you take the picture that far, it doesn't matter at all, if your camera is using a flash... I have taken pretty good pictures with that way, and it needs no background wallpapers etc. Of course it it doesn't work, then that might be good try.

Anyways, here you can see one example of taking picture like that. I took this pic' few months ago:

Lloks like you nailed that Nova, Jason. Nice job.

Camera wise I use a Kodak EasyShare M753. It's small, light and connects to the computer very quickly & easily.

There's also the Model Car Builders of Florida club that we've started. If you're interested, send me a PM with complete name and a "real" email address.
