kerc Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 This is the last model I finished before taking another long pause in my modeling. It's a Lindberg 1934 kit, painted with nail polish, red Testors for the engine, wheels and details. I got the wheels off eBay eons ago. Engine is the stock flathead with an aluminum carb cover made out of an aluminum button cover. If I already posted this here, my apologies!
Jantrix Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Paint - excellent Detailing - perfect Overall super clean build up. The wheels totally kill it for me. Makes it look cartoony. I'd love to see this with the wires from the Revell 32 Sedan kit.
Danno Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I've gotta agree with Rob. Beautiful model, excellent build, but the wheels make it cartoonish ... and that's a shame because it otherwise is a very, very nice '34! But that's just my opinion ... and Rob's ...
Terror Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Yeah,me too on the wheels. The rest is sweet.Different strokes.....
sobpinstriping Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 X 4 on the rims. Other wise great build!
kerc Posted December 29, 2010 Author Posted December 29, 2010 Thanks guys! About the wheels, I'm always looking to twist the usual build concepts...You know, throw something different at it. I thought that in a way the wheels sorta bring to mind old spoked wheels. It's cool to see the reactions it brings!
Matt P Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I like this build, and personally I like the wheels. They do remind me of the old wooden spoke wheels and seem to fit this build rather nicely. Nice job Jose.
Ryan S. Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I like this one a lot. The big wheels remind me of a tractor with out it's tracks. Great job!
vizio93 Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Wow, that Ford is sweet !!! I really like the rims and the color scheme
TheCat Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Beautiful build. Great paint and I do like the different concept. The wheels are not my favorite style, but it sure gives it a whole new look... Very cool!!!
cruz Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 One thing I do love is the color, there's always something about green that attracts me when used in a model. Paintjob is smooth and well done. My advice to you, now that I see you making plans to come back to the hobby is to stick with the idea, I know how well you do and it's something that's just in our blood. At some point or the other, you will always be back to it, why not now???
