Kanedge Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 This one was built way back in 2006/07, and is my most detailed model to date. This is the Tamiya kit combined with the Scale Motorsport set, along with my own parts. I wired everything as I could see it in the reference photos. I made my own removable wheel nuts, before finding out you can buy them. Hope you enjoy.
crispy Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Absolutely stunning Kane! While I have this kit I am just not sure if I am ready to dive in yet. Beautiful clean build and great touches throughout. What brand or type of paint did you use? Chris
Kanedge Posted December 29, 2010 Author Posted December 29, 2010 Thanks Chris. Colour is Tamiya TS-49 Bright Red with Tamiya Clear. I originally went with Italian Red but personally thought it was too dark, anyway, you could have these painted any colour you want by the factory if you lucky enough to own one. Plus in my reference photos, the car looked lighter too.
CAL Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 (edited) Yes, looks fantastic, I have a few of these kits and building one of them now. Also have the Scale Motorsport set, which is really designed for the super set and not as good stand-alone. I also had a Hobby Designs set. It is a little bit of an overwhelming kit, and I might have gone a little overboard... Edited December 29, 2010 by CAL

Trae Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Looks fantastic! Kane, you build some really nice stuff!
sjordan2 Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 That's one of the most perfect builds I've ever seen.
cruz Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Terrific work my friend, very clean. Paint looks great also. You know, I have one of these kits in my stash but to tell you the truth, I've never been too crazy about the lines on that body. I know it's a great kit, I will probably build it some day but for now it will be in the same corner it has been for the last 4 years...
