Brokentail58 Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 This is billed as a 1905 Autocar Type X Runabout. Is that the correct answer? close enough, the book I got the pic from said 1906. I was looking at some other pics and there is not much different between most of the early models. The only thing I noticed was that they put some of the lights in different places.
Draggon Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Okey Dokey! Ya know, the interweb is a funny thing. Earlier tonite I was googling 1904 to 6 autocar, and there were no 1906's with the tiller shown. NOW there are! Haahaa....I'll look for somthing to quiz you guys on and post it tomorrow.
Draggon Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 This is probably too easy for you guys. Please excuse the crude editing I did!
highway Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 This is probably too easy for you guys. Please excuse the crude editing I did! By the headlights, I'd have to at least say it's an Audi, a concept car maybe?
ra7c7er Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 is it a Briliance concept or way out on a limb a BYD concept? Sorry for the two guesses but they are both so far out there I figured it would be ok.
Draggon Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Sorry, all wrong. Keep reaching out with those guesses!
Scale-Master Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 A Peugeot design would be my first guess.
Draggon Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Ka-Ching, we have a winner! Cal got it right, 2008 Beijing Automotive 700R! Your turn, Cal.
CAL Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 (edited) Actually Nordstadt built it, but yeah. I said it was easy. Fire away. Wolfenstein is, I think, just what Road & Track called it. Edited January 13, 2011 by CAL

ra7c7er Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 (edited) I was seriously reading a Shelby book and about three minutes before I read the post I saw that picture. Ok another race car for you guys it's fairly easy to guess so If want to try guessing the driver you can. He was fairly well known. Edited January 14, 2011 by ra7c7er
Roadkill2525 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 (edited) Foyt's Buick Sommerset from the IMSA GTO class Edited January 14, 2011 by El Destructo Inc
ra7c7er Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 You got it. I was going to blank out the grill because I thought it was to much of a dead giveaway. The information I have on the car is that it is Kenny Irwin Jr's car. Can you tell me where you got the information for it being Foyts? This car is for sale and a friend of mine that races SCCA is thinking about buying it if there is misinformation about the car I want him to know.
Roadkill2525 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 I've known that AJ Foyt ran 14 on a number of his cars and he ran a Buick in NASCAR during this time, but I don't know if is Foyt's.
