2011 Corvette Promos

There is good news for Corvette promo collectors. Projected for sometime in April, there will be two new 2011 Corvette promos released.

Jetstream Blue Metallic Convertible:

Crystal Red Metallic Coupe:

I sure would like to see a ZR1 and Grand Sport coupe and convertible.....

Any ideas on the producer? I would think it would be AMT since the kits they have are pretty close to promo style.

ZR1 and Z06 would be must haves for me.

The 2010 Corvette promos were by Round2, so they were essentially AMT tooling. I don't know if they are providing the 2011 promos but it seems likely.

What's a promo? Oh thats right! It was that heap of medal they gave at the Dodge Dealership when my cousin bought his blue Challenger in '09

They charged me a frickin $30 bucks for it too!

Revell also produced promos in plastic the past decade or so and they are very good. I have several in my stash.

Already have mine ordered....whahoo ! I'd like to see a promo or even better a kit of the new Corvette Grand Sport.

Since the return of promos is based on the new Round 2 curbside molds I don't think that it's likely that we will see a Z06 or ZR1 promo. That might change if the two Round 2 curbside Corvette kits sell like crazy and the company realizes that there is a market for them as well as the promos.

Rob, good call. I think a GS would be nice as well. Pretty easy to do with what they already have here.

I'll do the wait and see.
